What do you give the caregivers in your life to show them that you appreciate the work they do and think of them with love every day? Sometimes it’s difficult to think of gifts for caregivers. Holidays are stressful at the best of times. When you’re a full-time caregiver for someone with a chronic illness or under hospice care, they can be even more so. Give the Caregiver in your life a thoughtful gift that will make the holidays special.
Most of us have people in our lives who are caring for elderly parents, hospice patients, and chronically ill family members. Hospice caregivers and nurses are the unsung heroes of the healthcare world. They are constantly on call to help family members with any need at any time. Home caregivers of terminally ill or elderly family members are tireless and always there for their families needs. Sometimes the simple things are the best and caregivers are usually universally not good at self-care.If you have a caregiver in your life and you’re wondering what would make a thoughtful gift, browse through my guide for some great suggestions. All selections are from Etsy shops. I love supporting my fellow artists and makers and have found some of the most precious and fun things here.
Aromatherapy Jewelry for Peace and Clarity
One of my favorite shops on Etsy is Natural Healing Hope
Laura Mapstead makes beautiful bracelets for women and men with a wide variety of beads and stones that feature handmade, bisque fired terra-cotta beads.
The terra-cotta beads are porous and the absorb essential oils. One or two drops of essential oil warmed up in the hand and then evenly distributed over the beads will give the desired therapeutic benefits.
These bracelets have 3 handmade, bisque fired terra-cotta beads that absorb essential oils. They’re easy to use and maintain.
Any caregiver would love to wear one of these and be surrounded by the calming scent of lavender or the invigorating scent of citrus to help add some peace and light to their day.

Aromatherapy / Essential Oils to Complete any Care Gift
What better item to complement one of Laura’s aromatherapy bracelets than an essential oil from The Plant Guru? The Plant Guru is a family run essential oil and natural ingredient company that offers quality oils at fair prices. As an added bonus, they currently have free shipping and who doesn’t like free shipping?! There is also a shop wide 10% discount on any three products purchased. The Plant Guru also carries a broad range of ingredients such as carrier oils, shea butter, and bulk wax for people who like to make their own body butter, lip balm, lotions, and soaps. All their oils are handmade to order and my top choices to give a caregiver comfort are: Lavender essential oil would be perfect for a caregiver. The scent of lavender is calming and relaxing. The French Lavender that The Plant Guru uses is high quality and potent. Lemon Eucalyptus is a bright
Natural Health and Beauty Products to Delight the Senses
Wildcraft Botanicals is another one of my favorite shops.
Any of the Body Butters at Wildcraft Botanicals would be marvelous for the caregiver in your life. Susan’s products are soothing and comforting, all natural, and they smell amazing! Give your caregiver the gift of soft skin and beautiful aromas to soothe their senses.
An amazing self-care product that I highly recommend is Susan’s Magic Sleepy Grains.

Snuggles for Self Comfort
No one does snuggly comfort better than Pam Grice at Made With A Twist. The biggest part of my self-care routine is to snuggle in something soft and comfortable. I have an afghan that my mother crocheted for me when I was in my early 20s that still is my favorite security blanket. There’s something soothing to be wrapped up in a handmade piece of love. My best friend’s mother knitted me a scarf right before she died. I treasure her memory every time I wrap up in it before going out in the cold. The soft, warm, cuddly scarves at Made With A Twist are the closest scarves I’ve found that could possibly recreate that precious memory for me. The pattern is super chunky and utterly warm and has hats can be made to match to create a fun set for the coldest winter.

Wrap Your Favorite Caregiver in Angel Wings
Shovava is a lovely shop with Gorgeous wraps and high quality, beautiful clothing! All of Roza’s products are wearable art for beauty lovers everywhere! Show the caregiver in your life that they’re an Angel with Roza’s Beautiful Angel Wings Scarf!
It’s The Simple Things
Speaking as a caregiver myself, it’s the simple things that bring joy during the stressful holidays. Lunch with friends, a day out of the house here and there, help with housecleaning, or just spending a few hours trading emails or texts with someone who understands or is in the same boat. One of my close friends offered to come up and give my brother a pedicure to give me some time away. It’s a gift that touched me and made me appreciate that my close friends were there for me. Another friend comes over and has a couple of beers with my brother every month since they both love Stella Artois and have fun conversations! Seeing my brother laughing and having a good time is another gift I’ll always cherish! Caregivers appreciate a shoulder to lean on while they’re bearing a heavy mental and spiritual load. A gift of your time would be the most precious gift of all. Peace and happiness!
