Happy Birthday to the Zen Introvert!
Welcome to my the launch of this site.
I meant to have this blog launched in the first week of January but found that setting up a website is exceedingly more intricate than I’d anticipated.

So much advice! So many options! So very many new things to learn! Who to host with; what Blog template to use; which theme should I go with? How to customize…wait…I just bought a theme…why do I customize that? (Oh……that’s why.) What kind of security? What service to take care of my subscription list so my subscribers have a wonderful experience? HTML5…what the &#*$% is THAT? For the all the detail-oriented people out there, as well as those of us who have difficulties making decisions, building a website, is like falling down a long, long rabbit hole. It’s a lot of fun along the way but some days I feel like my brain is ready to explode.
I congratulate everybody out there who has built a website with a non-IT background. All my long years in the computer industry didn’t quite prepare me for all the very many updates, plugins, and software decisions that needed to be made.
Not so easy. But in the end, very satisfying. This website is in no way what I want the future website to look and feel like but every new endeavor has to have a starting point. I could obsess over details until the end of time and never get this launched and out where it can do some good and spread some cheer.
Answering the ‘Why’ Question about Launching a Website
I’m also writing this for myself.
‘You teach best what you most need to learn.” ~ Richard Bach Illusions
I’ve been a seeker for most of my life and I’ve learned so very much. My mother instilled a lifelong love of reading and learning. The best way I can think of to get a handle on all the information bouncing around in my head is to write out all the pieces to the puzzle and see what the picture actually looks like. Launching in a very public forum will keep me accountable to myself and to everyone around me to honestly convey what I know and believe in. I have always loved to write. I have always loved to learn. Now I will learn to teach and doubtless will love the journey.
I’m also launching this website on the day of my 54th trip around the sun.
Health and Happiness to everyone!
